God said "aaah, your wish is granted" and catapulted a hottie tour guide in our neck of the wood. XD UC santa barbara field trip was way awesome, it was a rocky road sprinkled with grated chocolate on a hot summer day. I thought i was not gonna be able to go because as always, it seemed to me that maybe, just maybe my mom was driving slower than the rest of the drivers. That wasn't the case however, the problem was the damn stoplights, they're like bees swarmed everywhere, but in this case planted in every intersection in America. Sure, they prevent accidents now and then, but do you really think people who needs to be in their work desks on time, needs them? Im not saying that we should get rid of them completely--that's not gonna happen. Im just complaining that the time it takes for the lights to change, takes forever, as in like counting sheeps, 1 missisippi, 2 mississippi...so on and fort. How annoying is it to watch the time past by in your car as your either gonna be fired for being late again or bailed on some important trip, etc etc etc? Very, right?
I got there a minute early however. I didnt get to enjoy a breakfast meal so i ended up eating the cute lunchables i hacked from our cooler. There was a heavy traffic in ventura freeway, the couch bus was literally like parked in the middle of the street. I wasnt bother much by it not like the stop lights in the valley because we had some oldie songs playing and my window view was close enough to being great. The not so great part was the freezing AC on blowing me off right in my arms. When we got to the coastal highway, the fog barely cleared up but i knew right then, i would love Santa Barbara. Outside wasnt any different, the cool wind was a natural AC for us valley kids.
We didnt directly tour the school... We first roamed around Isla Vista, the main living quarters, on our way. It's just like any kind of place with houses and apartments on, the only difference was that, its part of UCSB vicinity. The place is also complete with a variety of fastfoods and shopping areas, topping it off with a theater, bowling room, a gym with jacuzzi accomodations, yes, the students are living the college life LARGE. In most places, the pedestrians have the right of way, right? well here, the bikers do; everywhere you go, you'll see bikes parked, bike lanes, and skirts flown off by the wind...oh that wasnt part of it. XD
We spent 1 hour with a presentor, not a very good one for that matter. He walked back and fort too much, i got dizzy just by looking at him. I dont even remember a single thing he told us, weird. Afterwards, the moment had come, our hot tour guide was giving us the tour, weeee. I think he was philip, or brad or whatever lol he was a very good example of wallflower, a feast for our eyes. He did a good job telling us the descriptions of the different halls, the library, but again, i couldnt remember anything he said. I was too pre-occupied staring at his blue eyes that i completely forgot to actually listen to what he got to say. lol He kept scratching too, his right armpit, his stomach, his back, there was a good chance he didnt get to shower, but his hair was wet so how could he possibly get "cooties" after taking a shower? hahaha, i dunno.
I had me some chinese food for lunch. Unlike any other day, i finish the whole plate, eeer, yes, i was pigging out in front of them skinny japanese people. XP Unfortunately after, we had to go to another college trip on nearby city, camarillo. But definitely, if i want some laidback athmosphere and hot surfer dudes in college, i should totally consider UC santa barbara to apply to. It not only defines california in itself, the environment is very green which i like, beautiful trimmed trees all-together and humongous sculptures through out. HOT.
CSU channel islands was a different story. It wasnt near the beach, it wasnt in the channel islands locale, it was in camarillo near those strawberry plantations at. The school is hidden behind fields of lemons and strawberries, you wouldnt even think twice if the school actually exist. Its very small like pierce, nothing much going around but old spanish-like buildings. I love their bell tower though and when looking up, you could see the hand painted spanish ceilings, very gorgeous. I was told it was an old mental hospital so i didnt spend wandering why the cold feeling existed yesterday. They have very small classes and i wouldnt wanna be notice by the professors, that's like so high school-ish. Anyway, hands down for Jian's funny presentation, i enjoyed it and their vending machines are L O V E.
how do you rent-a-highway?
call boxes everywhere.
watching people drive.
saw the largest car dearler.
hills rolled like cinnamon rolls.
never ending coastal highway.
i want my own beach house someday.

Every end has a beginning.
-sweet summer.
